I am no longer publicly active in arts, music, writing or sound healing or publishing or performance and have no intention of reconnecting with anyone from the past 30 years. Circumstances beyond my control have led me to retreat from all worldly duties. Thankyou. From Marisa

Email List:
Reflecting on the early beginnings of this ensemble that started in 2004 and takes the name from a story, (that name has caused quite alot of discussion, considering that the ensemble is from Australia) with a changeable line-up selected for their musical abilities, and some of the tasks of being a self managed artist has means that writing and collating an email list to keep interested people informed of any concerts was an important part of any ensemble. I did not delegate this role. If anyone is still on these lists please note that Bremen Town Musician are no longer active and have disbanded and any email accounts had been either hacked, closed or subject to cyber attack, (such a sad and awful thing to go through).
I hope that people who did ever receive emails for Bremen Town Musician found some kind of artistic merit to them. They took alot of time to write, veered into the poetic and were written with a nod to the hyperbole of times. As a teetotaller I was always working .It was a time when the internet as a medium of communication was very young. As management of an small ensemble and artist I was navigating this (albeit without reference to the Marshall McLuhan quote 'the medium is the message') with a kind of intellectual distance and generosity of spirit as suffuses artists with vigour and enthusiasm.
Please remove my name and email account from all lists and Thankyou to everyone who ever found anything in our music.
Kind Regards,
Marisa Allen

Public Relations, Media and Marketing:
The ensemble Bremen Town Musician has disbanded. The areas of public relations, media and marketing were and always are handled by management. As a self managed artist this has been an area that I have kept a very light approach to and also have industry standards, guidelines and ethics that I follow. The work stands as and of itself and intended to have a 'middle way' attitude to public relations, media and marketing of the work. It is an extremely stressful part of being a self managed artist, with a specialised skillset not designed for mass production that I found secondary to my intentions and aims and I declined to involve in social media and to instead attend to making the best work possible and represent the work without reliance on the competitive end of social media campaigns, press campaigns or marketing campaigns.
If the ensemble name or my name are on any lists for past, future or present reference please remove my name from these lists. Thankyou to the musicians, artists and poets who I worked with and who worked together over the last 15 or so years and people that showed some interest in our music. or whoever bought, collected or read or who went along to a concert and those who just put in a good word.
Kindly,
Artist/Management
